Normally I make a cob loaf (a simple round loaf of bread). This time I tried to make it a cottage loaf – by dividing my dough in to 2 pieces, one large and one small, then placing the smaller one on top of the larger one. Continue reading
They didn’t rise as much as I hoped but they tasted good – quite spicy and something a little different to the usual plain scones I make. I just had mine with butter. Quite simple to make and the dough was easy to work with. Continue reading

What lovely weather we’ve had this weekend! I’ve enjoyed sitting in our new Summer house which is a nice quiet spot to sit and read (and be able to hear the sound of birds and the water flowing in the pond).
