I did some baking again yesterday – this week I made a sticky toffee pudding using one of Mary Berry’s recipes.
OK so I cheated for the sauce: Before she went to New Zealand, Corrie bought me jar of sticky toffee sauce, so I used that instead of making the sauce in the recipe.
The actual sponge was easy to make: Just a case of mixing it all up then cooking it in the oven. I think I’d have preferred more sauce, but otherwise it tasted good. I ate it with ice cream; Dad had custard; Mum had cream and ice cream.
