Last weekend I went on a day trip to Hertfordshire to meet up with an old university housemate of mine. In my second year I stayed in a house of 8 in the middle of Cheltenham. I’m terrible at keeping in touch with people but have tried to get back in touch with a few in the last few months. Continue reading
I was very impressed with both the house and the gardens, managed by English Heritage (meaning I, as an EH member, got free entry) – With social distancing measures still in place I essentially had most of the rooms to myself. There aren’t many opportunities to stand alone in the study where Darwin wrote On the Origin of Species. Continue reading
