Brockhampton, Herefordshire
Yesterday I did a National Trust day trip, to go and visit Herefordshire’s Brockhampton Estate.
Home to the largest orchard cared for by the National Trust, Brockhampton has extensive grounds and estate walks to enjoy. There’s also the manor house (and the gate house) which are interesting to walk around.
The manor house is said to be haunted, so it seemed like a great fit for Halloween week. Yesterday though, I saw no ghosts, or anything else out of the ordinary.
I did part of one of the walks too, and met some of the local farm animals which include Hebrides sheep and Hereford cattle. One of the cows started licking my hand as I was leaning on a gate. That is said to be a sign of forthcoming good fortune and spiritual progres…. Fingers crossed! 🤞😂
Looking forward to going travelling again next week – Back off down to Devon/Cornwall with Mum and Dad for the week.
Happy Thursday!
FH.
