Cornish Pasties

Happy St Piran’s Day (for Friday). In celebration of Cornwall’s day, I made my own Cornish Pasties from my signed copy of Paul Hollywood’s British baking book.

My pastry wasn’t quite right, partly because I ran out of plan flour so I used wholemeal bread flour instead – but otherwise they worked well. My filling was beef, onion, swede and potato (I’ve never eaten swede before).

I’d certainly make them again – They were quite filling!
