I had another week away last week – not as far away as Greece, and not to somewhere as hot as Greece either. I spent a week in North Yorkshire.

Sivota 2012: Igoumenitsa, Drepano and Plataria
For our final day with the car (Tuesday 14/08/2012), we headed North from Sivota to a beach at Drepano (ฮฯฮญฯฮฑฮฝฮฟ).

One of the great things about Sivota is that, although it is only a small village, there are plenty of beaches to go to; some busier than others.
Crete 2010: Georgioupolis and Lake Kournas
On Saturday (7 August), we drove East to a town on the other side of Chania. Lake Kournas (ฮฮฏฮผฮฝฮน ฮฮฟฯ ฯฮฝฮฌ) is Crete’s only freshwater lake, and isn’t very far from the border with the county of Rethymno (ฮฯฮผฮฟฯ ฮกฮตฮธฯฮผฮฝฮฟฯ ).
Crete 2010: Falassarna
Last Wednesday (4 August) was the first day with the car, and we spent it at the beach. From Kamisiana we drove West on the old road to the beach at Falassarna (ฮฆฮฑฮปฮฌฯฮฑฯฮฝฮฑ).
