For our final day with the car (Tuesday 14/08/2012), we headed North from Sivota to a beach at Drepano (Δρέπανο).

For three days last week – Sunday, Monday and Tuesday – we rented a car. On our first day (Sunday 12. August) we decided we would head South from Sivota towards Preveza.
Today’s blog is the last focusing on Sivota itself; tomorrow I will start writing about where we went once we rented a car.
Sivota is quite a quiet village – its mainly Greeks and Italians on holiday, which is a good thing. Its not too big, and its fairly easy to find your way around the selection of shops, bars, tavernas and restaurants.
One of the great things about Sivota is that, although it is only a small village, there are plenty of beaches to go to; some busier than others.
I’m back! My annual holiday to Greece is, unfortunately, over for another year. I now have to get used to living in the UK again – clouds and rain instead of Sun; no more early morning runs to the bakery… Continue reading
Not long to go now then. In less than a week I’ll have escaped the UK, and this time next week I’ll be sat in a taverna on the Greek mainland enjoying a Greek meal of some sort.
It looks like Summer is finally here. The sun has decided to come out at last. Just as the schools break up too – normally its the other way round.
