Panathenaic Stadium

August 14, 2016Fred Hart Leave a comment

After breakfast this morning Corrie and I took a taxi from Lygia to the bus station (the ΞšΞ€Ξ•Ξ› terminal) in Lefkada’s main town. Shortly after 09:30 we departed on the coach for a weekend away in the Greek capital Athens.

Holiday time again! This year we’re staying for the first time in Lefkada/ΛΡυκάδα. For the next 2 weeks we’ll stay in an apartment in Lygia/Λυγιά, which lies on the East coast of Lefkada, opposite the mainland.

I was amazed that, even in a city like Athens which gets very large numbers of tourists each month, the waiter in the restaurant remembered me from my last visit there! I only ate there once – he must have… Continue reading →

August 11, 2015Fred Hart Leave a comment

This afternoon we will be getting the ferry back to the mainland. Not a high speed service – we’ll be on one of the regular ferries which takes cars, lorries and coaches – so the journey will be about 4.5… Continue reading →
