Holsworthy, Devon
November has arrived and the final 2 months of 2026; the darker months of the year, are upon us.
We felt a family short break was needed so have come back to Devon for a few nights, to enjoy the fishing lake and lovely (very comfortable) accommodation at Weekstone, near Holsworthy.
The drive down was fairly pleasant (of course going against half term traffic). We made it down in time for Sunday lunch at the Golf Club. I had a bit of beef, a bit of pork and a bit of turkey.
Back at the cottage, I watched the news a little bit of Countryfile, then we went in to the hot tub for a bit, before settling down to watch the F1 Grand Prix.
The horrible irony is that when we were here in June, it rained a lot. This week, high pressure takes over. We’ll have some sunshine. Better weather in November, than we had in June!
