Cirencester residents will have seen the article I wrote for the Cirencester Scene Magazine recently – I wrote it a couple of months ago and had forgotten it. Sticking to the word limit was rather difficult, I could easily have written 4 x that amount!
If you missed it in the magazine, a copy of it is below. The 20th anniversary show went out earlier this month – you can catch up with that on my Listen Again website.

Cirencester Radio :: Introducing Our Presenters
Iβm Fred Hart β and Iβve been part of Cirencester Radio since the start! I was just 13 when I presented my first show on the station 20 years ago.
When we started as Corinium Radio in 2006, everything was on FM. Mobile apps didnβt exist back then. Our early βonline streamβ was a radio in my bedroom tuned to our FM frequency, plugged into a computer!
Through all this change, the station has continued to grow. None of us imagined weβd still be here 20 years later. The way we operate has evolved, but the power of local volunteer-led radio is as strong as ever.
Iβve made lifelong friends through the station β people I would never have met otherwise. Thatβs what makes local radio special.
My own show is live, so I can play a song or say something on air, and immediately hear back from listeners. I love that shared connection. Thatβs what radio is all about.
I present two shows every week, live from home, with the help of my cats who often make appearances on air!
I play a very eclectic mix which reflects my music taste: from 60s and 70s pop hits, to Country, Folk, Jazz and Blues as well as music from across Europe.
I even record my own jingles, using AI to recreate different genres reflecting the music I play.
My shows are on Mondays (7-9pm) and Saturdays (9-11am) – including a special 20th anniversary show on Monday 4th May.
