After a day at home yesterday during which I baked some bread rolls, today I’ve been out on the road again – I went for a day out at Warwick Castle.
Just an hour away from Cirencester, Warwick Castle lies on the River Avon. Quite an easy drive – Just follow the A429 from Cirencester all the way to the castle entrance.
It was interesting to look inside the castle at the Great Hall and the State Rooms, and if you climb the towers there are some excellent views of the surrounding town and countryside – but I particularly enjoyed the bird show “The Falconer’s Quest”. One of the massive birds landed right next to me….It made me jump and I wish I had got my camera out before it took off again!
