Apparently, today was Blue Monday in the UK. Not for me it wasn’t! Anyway… Just thought I’d point you in the direction of BBC Radio 3 this week. They’re in the middle of their Music on the Brink series.

Yes, I know I ended my Radio Listening Blog in the Summer – but that doesn’t mean I can’t blog about what I’m listening to!

This year will of course be the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War, and the BBC has thousands of hours of programming over the next 4 years all about the war.

Radio 3’s Music on the Brink season looks at the music and culture of 5 cities on the brink of war. Just the sort of thing I’m interested in!

Today was all about Vienna – tomorrow will be all about Paris; Wednesday about Berlin; Thursday about St. Petersburg; and Friday about London.

Take a listen! I’ve been enjoying listening to Breakfast, The Essay and Private Passions. You can find links to all the programmes on the Radio 3 blog.

My alarm is set for tomorrow’s R3 Breakfast Show… I’m off to bed now.

Good night!
