Down House: Charles Darwin Family Home

Last Wednesday I went to Charles Darwin’s family home, Down House which is located in the village of Downe – about 3 miles South of Orpington.

I visited Down House a few years ago and really enjoyed it, and as it lay on my route to Kent I thought I’d visit again.

I hoped to learn more about Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution and how humans went from being an intelligent species….in to me!!

Lovely visit, I do love the gardens (and the interior) there – photos aren’t allowed indoors which is why I’ve only got photos of the outside.
