On the way to Heathrow today I went to Basildon Park, a National Trust property near Lower Basildon in Berkshire.
I had a lovely guided tour of the house which I really enjoyed – the guide knowledgeable about the property and clearly loved it, and its history.
Highly recommended. It was a lovely Sunny day – would have loved to be able to stay and walk the grounds a bit, but will do that anothet time…..Mum & Dad needed picking up so I had to make a move.
Also fun fact: The interior of the house was used as the London Townhouse in Downton Abbey.
