Guernsey Island Tour
I’m writing this evening while in the bar on the ferry back to Portsmouth. The crossing so far is very rough – the weather between Guernsey and Jersey is not pleasant, I’ve been mostly in my bedroom, holding on for dear life as the boat rocks and rolls in the waves. Continue reading
Christmas Shopping in Herm
Yesterday I had a lovely day; I did a day trip to Herm. A small island a short boat ride from Guernsey with no cars and not many people, you’d think there wouldn’t be much to do at Christmas. However, especially for Christmas, the island’s gift shop has extended opening hours on select weekends in December, and the pub put on special buffet lunches for the month. Continue reading
