This weekend I tried a new recipe, one my cousin sent me, which I was keen to try: Skolebrød, from Norway.
Skolebrød – which translates as “School bread” is a sort of sweet dough filled with custard, topped with icing and grated coconut.
The recipe was easy enough; I mixed the dough using my mixer, left it to rise, made the custard, baked the buns then added the icing and coconut afterwards.
Very tasty and definitely a recipe to make again.
