My Tone Radio Show Is Back… With A Brand New Format

Tone Radio returns to the airwaves this week after 4 weeks off over the Christmas/New Year break.

My show – The Fred Hart Show returns this coming Tuesday night (tomorrow) between 16:00 and 18:00, and its got a brand new format for 2013.

This semester, each programme will feature an hour of themed music between 16:30 and 17:30. The half hour either side will be a bit more mainstream in terms of the music choices – making much more use of Tone Radio’s own music library than I have done in the past.

I should be able to have quite a bit of fun with these themed hours: I could pick themes related to what the music is about, what era its from, the artists, or simply the genre.

My first three shows have been planned…

  • Tomorrow’s theme is called Out With the Old, In With the New. Songs about old things and new things. A good theme because it represents the fact that its the first show of the new year; the new format to the show, and an old comedy show is being brought up to date, with the launch of the new Yes Prime Minister series on Gold tomorrow evening.
  • Next week during my themed hour, I’ll be playing an hour of songs about food, starting at 16:30. I’ve put some rather interesting tracks in to that (The brilliant Peter Sellers ‘Bangers and Mash’ song will be included).
  • The week after, I’m going for a genre: Country music will be my theme between 16:30 and 17:30.

More themes on the way – perhaps something related to time when the clocks change, songs about the weather as well might come up some time soon, and I should probably do an hour of Greek music as well.

But in the mean time, make sure you tune in to the all new Fred Hart Show on Tone Radio – 16:00 to 18:00 tomorrow, with ‘Old and New’ being my theme after 16:30. Listen online wherever you are in the world at www.toneradiolive.co.uk.

See you on the radio,

FH.
