For the last week, I have been working on re-designing the Greek version of my website… desigining it using WordPress, to bring it into line with the design of both the German part of the site and this part of the site.
The site launched last night at 00:00 Greek time (22:00 UK time), and now features a full blog with a commenting system. I plan to post updates once a week from now on – all updates will be in Greek.
A new feature that has been introduced is the structure of URLs: for users of Mozilla Firefox, the URLs on the Greek side of the site will appear in the Greek alphabet! For example, my contact details are at fred-hart.co.uk/periexomeno/στειλετε-μηνυμα.
Unfortunatley, the URLs won’t work in IE (and other Internet browsers?) – instead, the Greek characters will display as HTML codes… I will work on setting up some re-direction URLs which will make navigation easier for IE users.
The latest update to Fred Hart Online now means that all 3 main parts of the site are now designed in WordPress, using the same theme – this is a good thing for site consistancy, something I always like to have.
