I had almost forgotten what it is like to come to Thassos outside of high season. The last few times we’ve come here have all been during school holidays in July/August, when it is extremely busy.
On the way in to Keramoti – it’s not often this happens – I got stuck behind a slow moving Audi.
In slightly more than a month, I set off on my 3 week holiday which will take me further than I’ve ever driven before. After work on May 17th I leave for Greece!

Ιt felt like an English spring day and it was warm enough that I could take my coat off. Warm enough that I forgot that we are only 2 and a bit weeks away from Christmas.
Our last day was meant to be spent on a boat. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great – although the Sun was shining, it was extremely windy: more than just a gentle breeze particularly on the East coast of the island.
Yesterday was our last day with the car – and today is our last full day in Greece.
On Saturday evening we drove over to the West coast of Skopelos, for a late afternoon swim at Μηλιά/Milia, before driving along to Πάνορμος/Panormos to have dinner at a spot where we could see the sunset.
Σκόπελος/Skopelos is the island on which Mamma Mia was filmed several years ago (was it really as far back as 2008!?). In fact, our accommodation in Στάφυλος/Stafylos was where some of the cast and crew stayed during filming.
