Skopelos

Our last day was meant to be spent on a boat. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great – although the Sun was shining, it was extremely windy: more than just a gentle breeze particularly on the East coast of the island.

Yesterday was our last day with the car – and today is our last full day in Greece.

On Saturday evening we drove over to the West coast of Skopelos, for a late afternoon swim at Μηλιά/Milia, before driving along to Πάνορμος/Panormos to have dinner at a spot where we could see the sunset.

Σκόπελος/Skopelos is the island on which Mamma Mia was filmed several years ago (was it really as far back as 2008!?). In fact, our accommodation in Στάφυλος/Stafylos was where some of the cast and crew stayed during filming.

There are several tavernas along the beach front in Agnondas and we chose the ‘Mouria’ to eat at. It was still daylight and not long past 7 by the time we left the beach to go and eat – early… Continue reading →

Friday and Saturday have been a busy couple of days, and we have started to explore the island a little bit now.
