It was the final Saturday in August: not a Greek bank holiday weekend, but the point at which many summer holidays were drawing to a close and schools across Europe were preparing to reopen. Our annual family holiday in Greece has finally begun: One week in Ξ£ΟΞ±Ο ΟΟΟ (Stavros), on the East coast of the ΞΞ΅ΟΟαλονίκη (Thessaloniki) area – followed by a second week on ΞΞ¬ΟΞΏΟ (Thassos).
