Westward Ho!, Devon
Today was our last morning in Devon/Cornwall and time to return home. Annoyingly the weather was better today than it has been the last few days!
We packed the car and set off just before 10am, and just under an hour later stopped once more at the seaside down of Westward Ho! on the North Devon coast.
I stuck an hour on the car and we went for a short walk, stopping for a hot chocolate. The tide had not long started to go out so Mum and I went for a paddle on the beach – last sight of the sea for a while.
Then we returned to our cars and headed for home. It wasn’t a bad journey home – a bit stop/start past Bristol, but that’s to be expected on a Friday afternoon. I made it home by 15:30, with just a short stop at Gloucester Services. Mum & Dad got home half an hour later.
Not sure where my next holiday will be. Watch this space.
