Where Did the Last 12 Months Go?

Blink and you’ll miss it! Where on earth did 2015 disappear to? It seems like only yesterday I was welcoming in 2015. Now we’re about to enter 2016!

As the year draws to a close I have had a lot of time off work to use up all my remaining holiday. 8 days, to be precise… which I only booked in the 2nd week of December.

It means I’ve not worked a full week for a long time now – so next week will be a bit of a shock to the system. Lesson for next year: plan the holidays more effectively.

Right back at the beginning of the month we went to the cinema for my birthday – Mum, Dad and I went to see Bridge of Spies. Set partly in the US and partly in East Berlin, the film is about a very famous couple of cases which happened in the late ’50s/early ’60s and the spy swaps which used to take place on the Glienicke Bridge which connects Potsdam to Berlin.

It was a great film and I even recognised many of the German places which were in it (most notably Checkpoint Charlie). I must admit though, it was weird seeing Sebastian Koch in an English-speaking role. I’ve only ever seen him in German language films!

Following that, I took a few days off work – they were spent mostly relaxing, doing stuff for Corinium Radio, and going to visit family.

Last week I was left without a car for a few days; the exhaust came loose. It was tightened up in one spot, then fell off in another spot. The good news is my car now has a completely new exhaust and is as good as new!

Tomorrow I return to work – just for a day and a half – then we head in to 2016.

I’ll do a review of the year later in the week… I’ve done a lot this year, thanks mainly to having a car and being able to go places!

Dinner time now though.

Bye for now.

FH.
