With the final semester of university now under way, a new show has launched on Tone Radio. Produced as part of the ‘Live Broadcast’ module, which requires us to work in teams to produce a weekly 1 hour speech-based show, It’s Not Rocket Science was broadcast to the public for the first time on January 17th.
It’s taken many months of planning to get this show on air: and the result of all this work is that we have come up with a show very different to anything else on Tone.
The show, whose name is shortened to INRS on our computer system, is a comedy/entertainment panel show. We have three teams each week, their aim is to win as many points as possible in the games we play on air: games such as ‘Jelmer Speaks Dutch’, ‘Arsene Wenger Songs’ and ‘A Ram from Behind’.
Plus, each week I read the news, I keep track of and announce the scores, and I’m also the voice of the Imaginary Prizes – the imaginary things the winner can win if they win.
Take a listen! We’re on every Friday, 14:00 to 15:00 on Tone Radio – and you can listen on demand on our MixCloud page.
