At university this week during one of my lectures – part of the ‘Researching & Writing for Radio’ module – I was given a reading exercise: to read the shipping forecast.
I enjoyed doing that – if BBC Radio 4 would like me to read it for them one day, I wouldn’t say no. 😉
During 5 minutes of boredom on Friday (whilst waiting for bus, incidentally…) I recorded myself reading Friday morning’s shipping forecast: I have uploaded the recording to AudioBoo.
The audio quality isn’t perfect – sorry! My mobile’s only a cheap one designed for making phone calls, I have better quality recording equipment for the things that matter.
But it’ll give you an idea of what I sound like reading the shipping forecast. Please let me know what you think. Maybe one day I’ll be reading it for the BBC… 😛
