Over the weekend I was in London attending the Country to Country festival for the first time since 2019.
It felt good to be back! In previous years I attended all 3 days but this year I kept it simple and went to the Saturday.
The O2 is the perfect venue for it and the pop-up stages around the site add to the atmosphere.
This year Lady A were the headliners – They were of course amazing but I was also introduced to new artists I have not heard before: Morgan Evans for example, his country pop sounded great. Prior to this weekend I only knew one or two of his songs.
I also really enjoyed Midland, with there perhaps slightly more traditional 1970s style Country & Western. Amazing sound!
Sunday saw the Zak Brown Band playing – from seeing them in the past I know they would have been amazing. While I did not get to see them this time around I did listen back on BBC Sounds.
Looking forward to next year’s C2C; The early bird tickets have sold out but will be waiting until the line up is announced in the autumn before deciding which day (or days) to go to in 2024.
Have a great week,
FH.
