So we’re in the final few days before Christmas now. This time next week it will all be over.
Its very strange being at home during the week, having been living in student accommodation in Cheltenham for 4 nights of the week for the last 12 weeks.
I did all my Christmas shopping (on Amazon) the other day. I’m not going to say what I’ve got for anyone, as I know they read my blog sometimes. All I can say is that I’m glad I’m not one of those ‘boycott Amazon’ people – shopping online without it would be next to impossible!
Also this week I’m busy recording my ‘Christmas’ radio shows for MixCloud. I’ve been using Last.FM to ‘scrobble’ music played on my radio shows, and I can also use it to find out which artists are popular at the moment. I’m not too keen on playing music through Last.FM, but as James Cridland‘s blog on Media UK says, it is great for music research!
When I’m not thinking about Christmas, I’m slowly getting the programmes from the Corinium Radio broadcast on to the website as well. Its taking its time because I’ve got to write down the names of every piece of music played in order to upload recordings to MixCloud. But I’m getting there.
Once that’s done I’ll do my normal ‘post Corinium Radio’ blog – I’ve left it a lot later than usual simply because I had too much to do at uni in the week after the broadcast.
Off to London to see Dad’s side of the family over the weekend and then I’m in Worcestershire with Mum’s side of the family over Christmas. I love this time of year!
I’ll write again soon,
FH.
