Last night was my first broadcast on Tone Radio, the radio station run by the SU at uni. I’ll be broadcasting every Thursday evening between 8 and 10, live from the Park campus in Cheltenham.
It took me a few minutes to get used to using the equipment, but once I got going it sounded quite good, and I enjoyed it.
After station manager Robbie had shown me how to use the studio he left and I was on my own for the rest of the evening – which made me realize how when presenting ‘Out of Hours’ after most people have gone home, I am left with quite a lot of responsibility during the two hours on air. Its not like on Corinium Radio where there’s always someone around when we’re on air. Next week I’ll even have to let myself in to the building!
