Saturday Morning with Fred (28/03/2026)

πŸ“… Saturday 28. March 2026 09:00-11:00am
Saturday morning gets underway with two hours of Fred’s music choices setting the pace for the day ahead, broadcasting live from Fred’s home studio in the Cotswolds.

Featuring mix of familiar favourites and less obvious choices, with music from across the decades, Fred presents a selection shaped by his personal musical taste. From 2000s indie pop through to country, jazz, blues, rock and beyond.

This week’s Same Song Different Decade contrasts a Beatles original with a funk-infused cover by Earth, Wind & Fire; while Country Crossover explores the link between country and jazz. Plus, Fred’s Jukebox makes its debut with a personal pick from 2004, as Fred reflects on the early days of discovering a love of music and radio.

An eclectic music mix, with something for everyone: Fred Hart presents another Saturday morning soundtrack on Cirencester Radio.

πŸ’½ Fred’s Jukebox

Fred’s Jukebox is my new feature where every week I share a song that holds a personal connection – that could be a particular moment in time, a memory, a place, or anything like that. Each week, a new track is added to build a collection of songs that have shaped my musical journey.

This week’s choice, the first entry to Fred’s Jukebox, is Mary by Scissor Sisters from 2004, a song that takes me back to that period of time when I was starting secondary school and beginning to find my own taste in music, as well as developing a growing interest in radio.

All my Jukebox entries are listed on the Fred’s Jukebox webpage.

πŸ’» On the Air: March 2026 – A Country Month

My new monthly radio show blog, looking back on March as the month of Country to Country, plus how I enjoyed putting together the recent Guitar Heroes show. Plus find out my pick for March’s “Song of the Month” (clue: It is a great Country song).
