North Cerney, Gloucestershire
As Autumn sets in I am trying to make sure I still make the effort to get out and about on a regular basis – I don’t want to go back to how I was a year ago, when from October to January (with a small break in early November) I was virtually agoraphobic, some days not getting out of bed apart from at mealtimes, too mentally unwell to leave the house.
On Monday I went for a walk at Cerney House Gardens, a lovely location a short drive away from home; I love their woodland walk as well as the walled garden. Open all year, it is great to go at different times of year to see it change from season to season. I also enjoy their self-service tea room, the Bothy, where I can get a hot drink and home made sweet treat. I had a hot chcolate and a chocolate brownie this time.
During my walk I noticed how quickly Autumn has set in this year – In the last week or so the trees have suddenly turned and the colours of the trees are at their most vivid.
I’ve put some of my favourite photos below….Enjoy!
