What a show this was!<\/p>\n

When I arrived at the Tone Radio studio just after 12:30 the playout system was shutdown, the Auto DJ was switched off and the computer which broadcasts the signal had a load of error messages on screen. What had happened was the server had crashed following a power cut at the campus on Monday night.<\/p>\n

At one point I wasn’t sure if I was going to get on air at all – but thanks to station manager Alex Jones, a temporary solution was set up so I could get on air… 12 minutes late, but that was better than nothing!<\/p>\n

Normally in such a situation I would expect my show not to be terribly good, and for there to be no listeners at all – but this was not the case today! I was surprised to get e-mails and Facebook messages from listeners, and the show went very well despite how difficult it was to get on air in the first place.<\/p>\n

I will sit down soon and work out what themes I’m doing for the rest of the term!<\/p>\n
