What began as part of a professional role soon became something much more personal, as Jan reflects on the joy of building something meaningful for the community.

Jan shares how community radio was seen as a powerful tool for improving mental wellbeing and strengthening social connections, bringing together people from all walks of life, many of whom would never otherwise have met. She recalls the unique atmosphere of those early broadcasts, and the incredible mix of voices that helped shape the station in its formative years.

Looking back, Jan reflects on the moment the project began to grow beyond its original roots as volunteers took ownership and the station found its own direction, and what it meant to step back and watch something she helped create continue to flourish.

Twenty years on, this is a story of community, connection, and the lasting impact of a project built by and for the people it serves.

🎶 Music Played

🇪🇸 Álvaro Soler – Muero
Dua Lipa – Training Season
Mimi Webb – Ends In Y
Megan Moroney – Medicine
Jake Owen – Made for You
Harry Nilsson – Good Old Desk
Glen Campbell – Sunflower
Claire Richards – Shame On You
Kylie Minogue – Padam Padam
🌟 The Animals – The House of the Rising Sun
🌟 Woody Guthrie – House Of The Rising Sun
Caroline Jones – You’re It For Me, Honey
Van Morrison – Ro Ro Rosey
Michael Jackson – Rock with You
Emeli Sandé – Heaven
Candy Dulfer – Pick Up the Pieces
🤠 Kenny Chesney & Uncle Kracker – When the Sun Goes Down
🤠 Zac Brown Band – Toes (Greatest Hits Version)
Boris Gardiner – Make It Tonight
Jessie Ware – Ride
Norah Jones – Don’t Know Why
George Benson – Breezin’
𝄟⃝💞 KT Tunstall – Under the Weather
Greg Pratt – Country Raised Her
Elton John – Rock and Roll Madonna
Bob Marley – Buffalo Soldier
Madonna – Cherish

Fred Hart wraps up February with a Saturday soundtrack featuring contemporary chart hits, European pop, blues-rooted rock and smooth soul-jazz groove. Continue reading →

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[151
179,176,28,194,168
post-14388","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-cirencester-radio","tag-adult-contemporary","tag-classic-rock","tag-country","tag-reggae","tag-soul
["GET
