I loved waking up in the Spanish mountains this morning, sunlight pouring through the window. Breakfast provided by the B&B this morning was toast with olive oil, some jam, ham and cheese, a slice of cake, orange juice and a hot chocolate. Continue reading
A new country today – one which I haven’t been to since I was very young (I don’t really remember that). A 3 hour drive from the Gers and I crossed the border in to España (Spain). Most of my driving on the French side of the border today was not on the motorway; I went cross country from Fleurance and didn’t get on the motorway until I was within touching distance of the border. After breakfast this morning I went for a morning swim which was lovely – especially as I had the pool to myself! I stayed at the pool for an hour then read my book on the beach for an hour. I set off from Angoulins just after 12. Continue reading

I got home in time for Sunday dinner after driving back through all four seasons. I stayed last night in Le Tréport and it snowed a bit overnight. Only lightly. Further towards Calais it was a little heavier. In Calais itself there was nothing. Continue reading
I stayed overnight at a caravan park in Rivedoux-Plage. The caravan I stayed in was quite cosy, despite it having frozen overnight. This morning when I went out to buy milk I had to scrape the car! Continue reading
