A-Z of My Favourite Holiday Destinations: Munich

Half way through my A-Z. Progress has been a bit slower because I’ve become much busier since I started it – but I shall keep going as and when time allows.

When I started full time work in December 2014, Munich was my first holiday – in February 2015 (yes, 3 months at work and I wanted to go away again…. the pattern hasn’t really stopped since!)

It was the first of many long weekends away – which then turned in to a week here, 2 weeks there over the years as my desire to travel meant I had to go further afield.

But Munich was where all the travel I’ve done over the last 5 years started. It was my first visit to Germany in 6 years. I love the city – and if I’d had any sense I sort of wish I’d stopped off there on the way to Greece last year (Instead I drove through the middle of it and straight on to Sindelsdorf instead).

Day trips I took from Munich included the Dachau Concentration Camp, plus the Austrian city of Salzburg.
